Kotomisi 4 ~ the many layers of Suriname Soundz ~ Keti Koti (1863 –2013)

On July 1st, we celebrate 150 Year “Keti Koti” (Surinamese/ Sranantongo/ Suriname-Creole for "Cut Shackles", a day to commemorate the abolition of slavery, and so end a period of around 200 years of slavery in the Dutch colonies (Suriname, Curaçao, Aruba, Bonaire, Saba, Sint-Maarten & Sint-Eustatius) and remember it's victims. We do this as always with some tunes ~ enjoy Kotomisi#3 or 4 (lost counting :)
